About the position
The Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate care to patients while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. This position involves managing pharmacy workstations, filling prescriptions accurately, and providing exceptional customer service. Pharmacy Technicians are integral to the healthcare team, supporting patients on their journey to better health and contributing to a culture of accountability, caring, collaboration, innovation, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team's ability to fill patient prescriptions promptly and accurately.
- Provide compassionate care and service to patients and customers.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations regarding pharmacy practice.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate ethical conduct at all times.
- Complete the CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to state guidelines.
Requirements
- Must have a valid PTCB Certification or be willing to obtain one.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements regarding age and education.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks without distraction.
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
- Mathematical reasoning skills to solve problems related to prescriptions.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- PTCB National Certification preferred.
