About the position
The Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate care to patients while ensuring compliance with all regulations. This position involves managing pharmacy workstations, filling prescriptions accurately, and providing exceptional customer service. Pharmacy Technicians are integral to the healthcare team, supporting patients on their journey to better health and contributing to a culture of accountability, caring, collaboration, innovation, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team's ability to fill patient prescriptions promptly and accurately.
- Provide compassionate care and service to patients and customers.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations regarding pharmacy operations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate ethical conduct at all times.
- Complete the CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to state guidelines.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Valid PTCB Certification is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
- Experience in customer service is required.
- Strong attention to detail and focus to complete tasks without distraction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Mathematical reasoning skills to solve problems related to prescriptions.
- Ability to resolve problems and make sound judgments in complex situations.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- PTCB National Certification.
