About the position

The Pharmacy Technician at Shields Health Solutions serves as the primary contact for specialty pharmacy patients, providing essential support throughout their medication journey. This role involves assessing patient needs, coordinating drug delivery, addressing insurance challenges, and ensuring adherence to medication regimens. The position is integral to enhancing patient outcomes and facilitating communication among clinical and pharmacy teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact for specialty pharmacy patients.
  • Assess patient needs and provide support with every refill.
  • Coordinate drug delivery and address any new insurance or copay challenges.
  • Monitor patient adherence to medication regimens.
  • Collaborate with clinical pharmacists, prescribers, and clinic staff to resolve issues quickly.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
  • State pharmacy technician license or registration.
  • Nationally certified as a CPhT or equivalent (preferred).
  • High school diploma or GED required.
