About The Position

Altruix is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our Long-Term Care (LTC) production team in Trevose, PA. This is a full-time, onsite position primarily working Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts as needed. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, production-focused pharmacy environment and is comfortable with high-volume fulfillment, packaging, and inventory workflows. The Pharmacy Technician will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely medication dispensing to our partner facilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Active Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician (required)
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or production/fulfillment environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn pharmacy systems
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in long-term care (LTC) pharmacy or high-volume production pharmacy
  • Experience with pharmacy systems (SuiteRx, Framework, PrimeRx, or similar)
  • National certification (CPhT) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Input patient data and medication orders into pharmacy systems (data entry)
  • Process prescriptions, including filling, packaging, and labeling medications in accordance with state regulations
  • Support high-volume production workflows, ensuring accuracy and productivity standards are met
  • Maintain and update resident profiles, including medication changes and order clarifications
  • Process inbound faxes and triage new prescriptions from facilities
  • Communicate with internal teams and partner facilities to ensure timely and accurate order processing
  • Assist with inventory management and periodic cycle counts
  • Handle returned medications for credit or proper disposal
  • Answer incoming calls and assist with inquiries as needed
  • Support team members and assist with training when applicable
  • Escalate issues or concerns to the Pharmacy Manager as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
