About the position

The Pharmacy Technician - CX is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and supporting patient care in a high-volume pharmacy environment. This role includes managing phone calls, processing orders, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations while assisting management in achieving the company's mission.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a working knowledge of all pharmacy rules and regulations.
• Interpret faxes, e-scripts, verbal, and written prescription orders.
• Input all information into the LifeFile System.
• Charge credit cards for orders.
• Answer patient phone calls and provide excellent customer service.
• Process refill requests from patients and doctors' offices.
• Call patients about new prescriptions and IVR requests.
• Call doctors for refill requests.
• Maintain compliance with company and HIPAA patient confidentiality requirements.
• Follow all policies and procedures set forth by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Tech Trainee.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy compounding and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Experience working in a retail pharmacy setting.
• PTCB certification is strongly preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and empathy.
• Strong communication, listening skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, data entry, email, and internet.
• Good math skills.
