About the position
Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assists with inventory maintenance, medication preparation, sterile IV compounding including chemotherapy, physical inspection, and recordkeeping. Supports operations across hospital departments by serving as an expert in drug preparation and inventory.
Responsibilities
- Assist with inventory maintenance
- Prepare medications
- Perform sterile IV compounding including chemotherapy
- Conduct physical inspections
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping
- Support operations across hospital departments
Requirements
- One year related pharmacy experience
- Active pharmacy technician certification from ASHP, PTCB, or other nationally recognized certifying organization
- HS diploma or equivalency required
Nice-to-haves
- Hospital experience preferred
- Sterile compounding experience preferred, but willing to accept on the job training
