Responsibilities
- Identify and enroll patients into various medication Patient Assistance Programs and charity foundations.
- Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, case managers, and social workers to ensure timely initiation of prescribed treatments.
- Communicate program requirements, timelines, updates, and expectations to enrollees.
- Document provider, patient, and program interactions in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with new program requirements and eligibility criteria, maintaining accurate records for compliance.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all program medications and perform daily inventory tasks.
- Audit patient claims for appropriate and accurate billing for medications administered through the Patient Assistance Program.
- Provide routine reports to the pharmacy management team on project progress.
- Assist in projects and cost savings initiatives for the pharmacy department.
- Perform other pharmacy and administrative tasks as necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Florida Department of Health.
- Pharmacy Technician certificate preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
