Responsibilities

  • Identify and enroll patients into various medication Patient Assistance Programs and charity foundations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, case managers, and social workers to ensure timely initiation of prescribed treatments.
  • Communicate program requirements, timelines, updates, and expectations to enrollees.
  • Document provider, patient, and program interactions in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with new program requirements and eligibility criteria, maintaining accurate records for compliance.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all program medications and perform daily inventory tasks.
  • Audit patient claims for appropriate and accurate billing for medications administered through the Patient Assistance Program.
  • Provide routine reports to the pharmacy management team on project progress.
  • Assist in projects and cost savings initiatives for the pharmacy department.
  • Perform other pharmacy and administrative tasks as necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Florida Department of Health.
  • Pharmacy Technician certificate preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
