Responsibilities
- Participates with pharmacists, nursing, and medical staff to provide safe, accurate and timely medication administration.
- Assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications.
- Maintain the drug inventory and maintenance of records.
- Function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy prior to start of employment.
- 1-2 years experience in hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
- Demonstrates high level of organizational skills.
- Demonstrates independent functioning.
- High school graduate or equivalency.
