About the position
The Pharmacy/Sr Lead Certified Technician plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and health and wellness services in a pharmacy setting. This position involves training and mentoring pharmacy associates, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for both customers and employees. The technician will also assist pharmacists in various responsibilities while leading a high-performing pharmacy team.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient intervention by delivering health and wellness services as allowed by state and federal laws.
- Train and mentor new hire technicians, providing day-to-day support for pharmacy associates.
- Ensure execution of department standards by leading by example and delegating tasks as necessary.
- Oversee inventory management, including reconciling orders and preparing for physical inventory.
- Act as a pharmacy safety subject matter expert, identifying areas for improvement and coaching staff accordingly.
- Comply with sanitation and safety regulations, reporting unsafe conditions to management.
- Administer immunizations where applicable by state law.
- Support company health and wellness initiatives and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Certified Technician experience within the Kroger enterprise.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Professional, dependable, and possess a positive attitude with good judgment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to organize, prioritize, plan, and meet deadlines.
- Proven attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills with leaders and peers.
- Completion of national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required by state regulations.
Nice-to-haves
