About The Position

The Pharmacy Operations Manager provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure safe, compliant, financially sustainable, and patient-centered pharmacy services across Family Health Centers. This role is accountable for pharmacy workflow optimization, 340B program integrity, regulatory compliance, fiscal stewardship, inventory management, and team performance. The position partners with executive and clinical leadership to align pharmacy operations with organizational goals, quality standards, and community health outcomes while modeling professional pharmacy practice and regulatory excellence.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication management systems
  • Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations, including 340B requirements
  • Financial management skills, including budgeting, inventory control, and contract oversight
  • Leadership and staff supervision experience, including performance management and training
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • 5+ years as a Pharmacist with increasing responsibility over pharmacy operations
  • Current License as a Pharmacist in Washington State

  • Experience overseeing 340B program compliance and audit readiness preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all pharmacy operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant medication dispensing and service delivery.
  • Lead administration and oversight of the 340B program, ensuring audit readiness, regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, and adherence to FHC policies.
  • Develop, implement and monitor pharmacy policies, procedures, and internal controls to meet Board of Pharmacy, HRSA, OSHA, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory standards.
  • Manager pharmacy financial performance, including budgeting, drug spend, contract oversight, revenue optimization, and expense control.
  • Oversee pharmacy contracts, third party payer audits, and vendor relationships to support operational and financial objectives.
  • Monitor pharmacy performance metrics including access, turnaround time, patient satisfaction, inventory accuracy, and cost efficiency; implement improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Direct inventory management processes, including procurement, medication distribution systems, annual inventory preparation, and site-level inventory oversight.
  • Ensure timely inventory and resolution of medication-related incidents; complete required documentation and collaborate with Risk Management/QIP on corrective actions.
  • Lead and supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and pharmacy assistants; provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management.
  • Manage schedules in alignment with financial and operational needs.
  • Oversee onboarding, competency validation, and ongoing staff training to ensure regulatory compliance and professional development.
  • Collaborate with the COO to establish departmental goals, KPIs, and operational priorities.
  • Develop internal tools, workflows, and training resources to improve efficiency and standardization of pharmacy operations.
