About the position

The Pharmacy Intern position at CVS Health offers an opportunity for 3rd year pharmacy students to gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy environment. Interns will work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, contributing to patient care and safety while supporting the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and compliance with pharmacy professional practice standards.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and quality assurance protocols.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and caregivers.
• Assist in inventory management and workflow management, excluding final prescription verification.
• Lead with empathy and compassion in patient interactions.
• Collaborate with team members to improve patient care outcomes.
• Facilitate a positive team culture that promotes enthusiasm and pride.

Requirements

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframe.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift and bag items, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity.
