About the position

As a Graduate Pharmacist Intern at CVS Health, you will play a vital role in the pharmacy team, contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care while working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This position focuses on ensuring a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment, enhancing patient health through care programs, and supporting the pharmacy manager in team development and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure patient safety and compliance with pharmacy professional practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver quality assurance and exceptional customer service.
  • Manage inventory and workflow effectively, excluding final prescription verification.
  • Lead patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
  • Display empathy and compassion towards patients, customers, and colleagues.
  • Support the Pharmacy manager in motivating and developing Pharmacy Support Staff.
  • Identify business opportunities and implement solutions to drive growth and performance.
  • Adapt to changes in a dynamic community healthcare setting.
  • Collaborate with others to deliver better health outcomes.
  • Facilitate a team culture that promotes enthusiasm and pride.

Requirements

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health.
  • 0-3 years prior relevant work experience.
  • Must possess or be in process of obtaining a valid Pharmacist intern and/or technician licensure as required by state BOP.
  • Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe.
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
  • Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift, scan, and bag items, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
