Adecco is currently assisting a well-known National Pharmaceutical client in recruiting for a Pharmacist position located in Portsmouth, RI. The pharmacist will be responsible for providing routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to the centers. This role requires strong management skills and a high level of accuracy to ensure that the appropriate drug product reaches the customer efficiently and safely. The pharmacist must be available during pharmacy hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the operational needs of the pharmacy. In this position, the pharmacist will be expected to meet or exceed site budgets and leverage operating policies, procedures, and processes to ensure operational excellence. Cost management optimization in line with script counts is essential, as well as evaluating the overall results of operations. The pharmacist will regularly and systematically report these results to the General Manager (GM) and/or Vice President of Operations (VPO). Compliance with state and federal regulations and laws governing financial and pharmacy operations is a critical aspect of this role, ensuring that all organizational activities and operations are executed accordingly. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Pharm. D. degree, along with a current license to practice pharmacy in good standing. Proficiency in clinical interpretation, including drug-drug, drug-disease, drug-food interactions, and allergies, is required. The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language is essential, as is the capability to perform accurately and efficiently when dispensing prescription medications. The role demands flexibility in working hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of long-term care regulations (OBRA, OSHA, state laws, and other federal laws) that impact pharmacy and center operations is preferred.
