Pharmacist, Central Operations, Baptist Downtown
About The Position
Baptist Health is a leading healthcare provider in Northeast Florida, recognized as a top place to work. They are seeking a full-time Pharmacist for their campus in downtown Jacksonville. This role is in Central Operations, covering the Central Pharmacy, IV room, and OR Satellite. The primary working hours are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM, with every fourth weekend required. The Pharmacist will be responsible for checking patient orders, authorizing and dispensing medications, supervising technicians, and consulting with medical staff on medication and regimens. This position offers hybrid functions within the central pharmacy and opportunities for clinical experience.
Requirements
- Registered Pharmacist - State Board of Pharmacy Required
- Licensed Pharmacist - DOH Required
- Bachelor of Science Required
- A Pharmacist license within the State of Florida is required.
- Level II Background check required.
Nice To Haves
- In-Patient Hospital Pharmacy Experience is preferred
- PGY1 Residency is preferred
Responsibilities
- Entering orders with great accuracy.
- Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.
- Supervising technicians and serving on committees as assigned.
- Answering questions for all health care professionals.
- Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
- Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services.
