About the position
We are seeking a qualified pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy operations and a commitment to providing excellent patient care. This position requires a current pharmacist licensure and the ability to perform prescription dispensing activities in compliance with state and federal laws. The pharmacist will also be responsible for immunization services, either as a certified immunizer or by becoming certified within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Perform prescription dispensing activities
- Ensure compliance with state and federal controlled substance laws
- Provide immunization services
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Assist in pharmacy operations and management
Requirements
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution
- Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district
- Experience performing prescription dispensing activities
- Strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws
- Certified Immunizer or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire
Nice-to-haves
- At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting
- Experience with prescription filling and verification
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations and technology systems
- Familiarity with insurance processes
