About the position

Join our team as a Per Diem Pharmacist at Yakima Medical Dental Clinic, where you will provide essential pharmacy services to support our community health initiatives. This role is designed for those looking to earn extra income by filling in when regular staff are unavailable, contributing to a healthcare organization dedicated to the well-being of migrant farmworkers and the broader community.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care services including Drug Utilization Review and Patient Counseling.
• Conducts Drug Regimen Review and Medication Therapy Management.
• Engages in Collaborative Drug Therapy Management as per valid agreements.
• Prescribes drugs or devices as authorized by statute according to Drug Therapy Management Protocols.
• Orders, interprets, and monitors laboratory tests.
• Receives or transfers prescriptions and ensures correct dispensing according to provider authorization.
• Oversees pharmacy personnel to ensure compliance with scope of practice and licensure duties.
• Maintains security of the pharmacy area against theft or diversion of drugs.
• Maintains records and inventories in accordance with state and federal laws.
• Participates in continuing education to maintain licensure and pharmacological knowledge.
• Performs clinical responsibilities in alignment with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy; Pharm D Degree preferred.
• Current WA State Pharmacist License.
• Experience in community or ambulatory pharmacy practice preferred.
• Knowledge of community pharmacy practice and drug therapy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic pharmacy software knowledge.

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of inventory management preferred.
• Experience with professional networks and societies.
