Requirements
- Clear and Active California Registered Pharmacist License.
- B.S. in Pharmacy.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy supervisory role is required.
Nice To Haves
- PharmD.
- Specialty pharmacy experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise pharmacists and intern pharmacists including mentoring, coaching, and managing according to company policies.
- Communicate with medical professionals regarding patient status and response to medication, and when necessary to resolve patient issues.
- Create, review, and complete reassessments per Pharmacy protocol including conducting routine patient profile monitoring.
- Review and update Care Plans prior to each medication dispensing; assist in reviewing and discontinuing therapies for clinical appropriateness; troubleshoot infusion-related problems; and provide patient counseling when required.
- Create and review Proactive Risk Assessments.
- Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
- Pursue continuing education appropriate to job responsibilities and license requirements.
- Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner in all job-related interactions.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations and accreditation standards upheld by the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
