Pharmacist , 7on/7off Evenings/Overnight

About the position

The Remote Pharmacy Services Pharmacist at Cardinal Health is responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services remotely to acute-care hospitals. This role allows pharmacists to utilize their clinical skills in a flexible work environment, focusing on patient care while managing medication therapy and ensuring compliance with regulations. The position requires working a 7 on/7 off schedule, primarily during evenings and overnight hours, and necessitates a dedicated home office setup.

Responsibilities

• Remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification
• Physician and nursing consultations
• Clinical medication dosing services
• Review and monitoring of profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomes
• Coordinates access to medications according to facility policy and procedures, and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred
• Active MA, ME or OH pharmacy license, active pharmacy license in state of residence as well as state of original licensure
• Willingness to obtain CT, DE, MA, ME, NH, NY, OH, PA, RI and VT licenses within first nine months of hire date
• 2-4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience preferred
• Computer savvy, willing to learn and perform successful operation of multiple pharmacy information systems
• Excellent communication skills to enable successful interactions with other healthcare professionals
• Ability to establish and maintain a home work space in compliance with Cardinal standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Epic and Meditech Expanse is a plus, but not required
