About the position
The Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist at Alcon is responsible for managing a large territory in Philadelphia, PA, focusing on building relationships with physicians and practitioners. Responsibilities
- Build disease awareness with key partners and understand treatment initiation processes.
- Collaborate with partners on prior authorization, payor restrictions, and patient referrals.
- Manage the sales budget and develop impactful territory plans.
- Employ business planning and local market knowledge to grow sales.
- Develop relationships with customers and opinion leaders in the pharmaceutical community.
- Participate in and conduct meetings and events such as congresses and trainings.
- Establish and present action plans to achieve sales targets.
- Coordinate trainings and product presentations.
- Prospect for new accounts and identify growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.)
- 2 years of proven experience in sales, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
