About The Position

Coordination and organization of distributive pharmacy functions via monitoring of pharmacy technicians and drug distribution system, training and orientation of technical personnel, monitoring of workload and quality assurance indicators relating to drug distribution and participation in performance reviews for technicians in conjunction with the pharmacy coordinators and Assistant Director.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three years of pharmacy technician experience required
• Successful completion of all competencies required for the Pharmacy Technician Level 3 position
• Knowledge of contemporary pharmacy services/operations
• Demonstrated knowledge of personal computers
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and work independently without direct supervision
• Demonstrated ability to independently identify and resolve problems
• Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to effective working relationships both inter- and intra-departmentally in pursuit of common goals
• Demonstrated ability to integrate education and service activities
• All Pharmacy Technicians must be registered with the Florida Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacy Technician
• Technician Coordinators must present proof of current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) status

Nice To Haves

• College level study in pharmacy, health care field or basic sciences desired
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Formal presentation and/or teaching experience preferred
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheet and database management programs preferred
