The Investigational Drug Service (IDS) team is recruiting a full-time technician. This individual will support the non-oncology human clinical trials at the main campus. Responsibilities include sterile compounding, dispensing, inventory management, and assisting with monitor visits. This position is for an 8-hour shift M-F (with the possibility of 10-hour shifts once trained), does not require weekends, evenings, or holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
  • Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
  • Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists &/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with federal, state and local laws/regulations and hospital policies.
  • Delivers outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
  • Supports non-oncology human clinical trials including sterile compounding and inventory management.

Requirements

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician - National Healthcareer Association
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
  • LIC-Pharmacy Technician - Tennessee
  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
  • Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
