About the position

The Personal Care Specialist at RISE is responsible for engaging with patients and customers in a retail environment, providing personalized assistance and education on cannabis products and consumption methods. This role is crucial in connecting customers with the right products to meet their needs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage with and assist patients and/or customers in a customer-facing, intimate retail environment
• Play an active part in patients' and/or customers' education on products, methods of consumption, and safety as part of patient interaction
• Utilize product and consumption-method knowledge to recommend a safe and effective regimen suited to each patient and/or customer's needs
• Remain up to date on product knowledge
• Promote a work environment that is positive, communicative, patient and/or customer-oriented
• Assist in verifying order deliveries for accuracy
• Provide necessary support to the management team to ensure retail store operations run smoothly, properly, and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations
• Ensure local and state cannabis regulations are properly enforced and upheld
• Maintain the sales floor and ensure the store is well stocked and compliant
• Uphold cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards throughout the dispensary
• Complete duties at assigned workstations during scheduled shifts, including Front of House and Back of House tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least one year of customer service experience; preference for candidates with specialty, customer-facing retail experience
• Meet the scheduling and availability requirements, including varying shifts such as mornings, days, nights, and weekends
• Must have reliable, responsible, and dependable attendance
• Must be 21 years or older
• Must pass all required background checks including state-specific cannabis employment requirements
• Possess valid driver's license or state ID
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry
• Ability to perform tasks for prolonged periods, including moving about the dispensary and remaining stationary as required
• Ability to converse and communicate effectively with individuals and groups
• Experience operating point of sale systems and other office productivity machinery
• Ability to prepare patient and customer orders and inspect detailed information

Nice-to-haves

• Desire to continuously learn about cannabis, cannabinoids, and cannabis therapies
• Previous knowledge of cannabis products
• Understanding of applicable cannabis laws and regulations, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures
