About the position
The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role is designed for compassionate individuals who provide essential support to clients needing assistance with daily activities. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those requiring personalized care, ensuring they receive the necessary support in a respectful and dignified manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying up
- Escort clients to appointments or outings
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Personal Care Assistant or Caregiver is preferred
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus
- Ability to treat clients with dignity, respect, and compassion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to lift and transfer clients safely
- High school diploma or equivalent required
