About the position
The Personal Care Assistant at Norwalk Retirement Villa is responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to senior residents, ensuring their physical and mental well-being. Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, and transferring residents to and from activities and meals.
- Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Competent history in a similar facility.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Valid First Aid certification required.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift residents and support their physical needs constantly.
- Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing.
