About the position
Cedar Grove PHC is seeking compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide essential support to clients in their homes. The role focuses on helping clients maintain independence and quality of life through various personal care tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks.
- Provide mobility support, such as transfers and assisting with exercises.
- Accompany clients to appointments or run errands as required.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Follow care plans and communicate effectively with clients and their families.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid PCA certification or CNA license in Georgia.
- Experience with a dementia patient is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
- Physically capable of bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 60 pounds, as well as standing for extended periods.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with dementia patients.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
