About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join the National Branch Network within the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences by building relationships and providing appropriate banking products and services to help customers succeed financially. The position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act and involves customer interaction, account management, and teamwork to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in delivery of exceptional customer experience by building relationships through proactive outreach.
  • Propose appropriate products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially.
  • Assist customers with basic requests related to opening new accounts and completing service requests.
  • Receive direction from managers and exercise judgement within defined policies and procedures.
  • Develop understanding of bank products and services to connect to customers' needs.
  • Interact with customers to demonstrate care and build relationships.
  • Provide appropriate options for bank products and services to customers.
  • Refer customers' financial needs to other bankers and partners as needed.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of interacting with customers experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

  • Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems.
  • Experience proactively engaging with customers through outreach via phone or email.
  • Ability to educate and connect customers to technology and share the value of mobile banking options.
  • Ability to help customers succeed financially by offering introductions to additional team members as appropriate.

  • Experience fostering and developing strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal partners.

  • Relevant military experience including working with military protocol and instructions, enlisted evaluations, officer/leadership reporting.
  • Relevant military experience including working in personnel benefits management, processing military personnel orders or transitions, wartime readiness operations, human resources or military recruiting.
  • Proficient with proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Support customers and employees in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints.
