About the position
The Personal Banker III role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service while managing routine banking transactions and fostering strong customer relationships. This position involves understanding customer needs, recommending appropriate financial products, and educating clients on various banking channels. The Personal Banker will also support the banking center's transactional needs and contribute to community engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Process routine banking transactions and provide best-in-class service.
- Develop deep customer relationships and understand their financial needs.
- Open and process consumer and small business deposit accounts.
- Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Educate customers on alternative banking channels, including online and mobile banking.
- Meet or exceed individual sales and referral objectives.
- Handle cash and adhere to proper balancing procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of products, fees, and policies to assist customers effectively.
- Demonstrate compliance with all applicable bank regulations.
- Engage in community activities and financial literacy initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; college coursework preferred.
- Previous banking or demonstrated sales experience in business or retail.
- 1-year cash handling experience in a banking or retail environment preferred.
- Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with consumers and small businesses.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- 2+ years of cash handling experience if applying for level II.
- Experience in a structured, goal-based sales environment.
