About the position

Insight Global is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Gastroenterology for a nursing position located in Braselton, Georgia. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients within the GI/Renal Unit, which is a 25-bed facility designed to accommodate semi-private occupancy. The unit is primarily focused on caring for patients with renal and gastroenterological illnesses, as well as other general medical patients during periods of high census. The position requires a commitment to delivering compassionate and effective nursing care, ensuring that all patients receive the attention and treatment they need to recover and maintain their health. The Registered Nurse will work 35 hours per week, with shifts scheduled for 12 hours during the night. This position is classified as a staff role, and the successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to improving patient outcomes. The role offers a competitive compensation package, including a $15,000 sign-on bonus and a relocation bonus of up to $8,000. Additionally, there are shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts, as well as a local commuter program that provides a $10/hour shift differential for those commuting over 100 miles. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the GI/Renal Unit.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
  • Experience in gastroenterology or related nursing field preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in a med/surg unit.
  • Certification in Gastroenterology nursing (CGRN) is a plus.
  • Bilingual skills may be beneficial.
