About the position
The Per Diem Remote Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant position at North Shore Physicians Group is designed for experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to provide virtual visits and telephonic support to patients during after-hours when primary care practices are closed. This role emphasizes autonomy and the use of clinical guidelines to ensure effective patient care from a remote setting.
Responsibilities
- Field calls and conduct virtual visits within a clinically appropriate scope.
- Utilize Schmitt-Thompson triage guidelines/protocols for patient care.
- Access comprehensive patient information via the Epic EMR system.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to patients during after-hours.
- Maintain a minimum of 16 hours of work per month on weekend shifts.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or physician assistant program with a Master's degree.
- Current Massachusetts state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- 5+ years of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant within a primary care, urgent care, or emergency department (preferred).
