About the position

The Per Diem Mobile Clinician will be part of the Rockland County Mobile Response Support Services (MRSS) team, providing on-base and on-call duties to support children and families in crisis. This role focuses on delivering mobile outreach services aimed at crisis intervention, hospital diversion, and skill building to promote healthy family functioning. The clinician will work collaboratively with a Family Partner and engage with families for a minimum of one initial meeting, extending support for up to eight weeks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical triage and assessment of emergency, urgent, and routine calls.
• Coordinate outreach services and service planning for individuals served.
• Provide follow-up support and administrative backup as needed.
• Work in compliance with MRSS, agency, and regulatory procedural guidelines.
• Assess the needs of individuals and intervene appropriately based on the situation.
• Collaborate with a Family Partner to deliver mobile outreach services.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• NYS Licensure as LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC.
• 1 to 3 years of experience, preferably with individuals with mental health diagnoses.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility with hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Haitian.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with crisis intervention and hospital diversion services.
• Knowledge of Rockland County resources and services.
