Per Diem Ambulatory Phone Triage RN, After Hours Call Program -Remote

About the position

The Per Diem Ambulatory Phone Triage RN position is a remote role focused on providing telephonic support and clinical guidance to patients during after-hours when primary care practices are closed. The role requires experienced Registered Nurses to conduct virtual visits and field calls, utilizing established triage protocols and an integrated EMR system. This position is part of an innovative program aimed at enhancing patient care through efficient and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Field calls from patients and provide telephonic support and clinical guidance.
• Conduct virtual visits within a clinically appropriate scope.
• Utilize Schmitt-Thompson nurse triage guidelines/protocols for patient care.
• Access comprehensive patient information via the Epic EMR system.
• Maintain a minimum of 16 hours of work per month, primarily on weekends.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• A minimum of six years of nursing experience.

Nice-to-haves
