About the position

Admiral Beverage is seeking a Merchandiser to display beverage merchandise on shelves, showcases, and on the sales floor of retail stores. The role involves arranging products according to a prearranged plan or personal ideas approved by management, placing price and descriptive signs, transferring products from stock rooms to floor displays, ordering products for assigned accounts, and communicating effectively with key store personnel. The Merchandiser will also construct or assemble display aids from company-provided Point of Sale (POS) materials and may be assigned other duties by supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Arranges products according to prearranged plan or own ideas approved by management.
• Places price and descriptive signs on backdrop, fixtures, merchandise, or floor.
• Transfers product from customer stock room to floor displays to comply with 'Sell By' dates.
• Orders product for assigned accounts in accordance with established procedures.
• Originates display ideas or follows suggestions or schedule of Merchandiser Manager and Sales Manager.
• Communicates effectively daily with key store personnel on any service or product needs.
• Constructs or assembles display aids from company provided Point of Sale (POS) materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Must meet company driver qualifications.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to perform basic functions of math in all units of measure and formats.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
