About the position
The Manager of Software Product and Tech Diligence at Alvarez and Marsal will be responsible for conducting software product and technology due diligence assessments for private equity clients and their portfolio companies. This role involves evaluating product features, technology architecture, intellectual property, and R&D processes, among other areas, to maximize value creation and performance improvement in the context of mergers and acquisitions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct software product and technology assessments for private equity clients.
- Participate in key target and client interactions, including interviews and updates.
- Develop and manage the data request list for assessments.
- Conduct detailed analysis of targets, focusing on quantitative and qualitative data.
- Summarize insights into client-ready deliverables and ensure quality.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of five years consulting to the tech industry or specializing in software/tech-enabled services.
- Experience working with private equity sponsors or related transaction experience is desired.
- Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated track record working with business leaders and private equity deal staff.
- Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills.
- Previous software/product experience from a top-tier strategy firm or Big-4 consultancy.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
