About the position

The People Business Partner at J.B. Hunt Transport is responsible for aligning business objectives with people solutions within assigned client groups. This role serves as a strategic partner, providing HR support and programs, and addressing employee needs while fostering a positive workplace culture. The position typically supports employees through director-level and may extend to VP level depending on the organizational structure.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee relations issues through effective investigations and compliance engagement.
• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management to reduce risks and ensure compliance.
• Champion employee experience and workplace culture by forming effective relationships with client groups.
• Coach, consult, and empower management by providing People guidance as appropriate.
• Identify trends and metrics in partnership with Centers of Expertise teams to develop solutions and programs.
• Execute company-wide Talent Programs including Annual Talent Review and Performance Review.
• Provide input on business structure, workforce planning, and succession planning.
• Work closely with management to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity.

Requirements

• 3+ years HR/Generalist experience with emphasis on employee relations, labor relations, and cultural change activities, or relevant organizational experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Communications, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field with 1+ years of relevant work experience.
