About The Position
The Machine Operator is responsible for performing independent and team-oriented duties related to operating the bagging line and ensuring standard safety and sanitation operating procedures and other guidelines are met to guarantee fertilizer is packaged and stacked to specification.
Requirements
- Forklift trained
- Computer skills a must
- Skilled in the operation of a forklift and payloader
- Competent working with appropriate computer applications (email, Excel, machine control, camera)
- Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to perform job duties independently
- Works well as a member of a team
- Lift or move up to 50 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Class A driver’s license is a plus
Responsibilities
- Operating the bagging line
- Ensuring standard safety and sanitation operating procedures and other guidelines are met
- Packaging and stacking fertilizer to specification
- Performing maintenance tasks such as lubrication, drive adjustments, belt tracking, machine mechanical adjustments, etc.
- Completing simple electrical troubleshooting
