About the position

The Cashier-Front of House Team Member at Pei Wei Asian Diner is responsible for providing excellent customer service by greeting guests, processing orders, and maintaining the front of house area. This entry-level position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers entering the restaurant.
• Process phone orders in a timely manner.
• Take and process customer orders into the POS system.
• Process and total orders on the POS system and apply customer payments.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Package take-home orders for customers.
• Maintain and clean the front of house area, including drink and condiment stations.
• Follow dress code and company policies.
• Tabulate data regarding bills and restaurant expenses in the POS system.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience as a cashier and operating a POS system.
• Understanding of the English language.
• Basic math skills and computer proficiency.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
