About The Position
Dayton Children's is seeking an experienced Pediatrics EM Physician to join their team at both their Main and South Campus. This role is for future coverage needs. The Emergency Department (ED) handles a significant volume, with 81% of total hospital admissions originating from it and 12% of ED patients being admitted to the hospital daily. The ED is a Level I Trauma Center with 59 beds and an annual volume of 101,692. The group consists of 23 ED physicians. The ED features a fast track area that treats 40% of the total ED volume and is staffed by both MDs and APPs. The locum physician will be required to supervise other healthcare providers, including APPs and Residents. The documentation system used is EPIC. ED staff do not respond to house codes.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics EM.
- ATLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- PALS certification.
- Valid Ohio State License.
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for the Emergency Department at Main and South Campus.
- Supervise APP and Residents.
