About The Position
Eyas Landing - Avondale is seeking a skilled and compassionate clinic-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary team of top therapists in Chicago, IL. Eyas Landing - Avondale offers a unique opportunity to provide therapy through our Merlin Day Academy, a fully integrated educational and therapeutic environment for children ages 6-14 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. This is an opportunity to provide evidence-based, play-focused pediatric therapy in a collaborative, innovative environment designed to help children thrive.
Requirements
- Skilled and compassionate clinic-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Ability to provide evidence-based, play-focused pediatric therapy
- Experience with Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding
- Experience with Get Permission Approach
- Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
- Experience with Intentional Relationship Model (IRM)
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children ages 6-14 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs.
Responsibilities
- Providing individualized and group therapy
- Implementing therapeutic approaches such as Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Get Permission Approach, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM)
- Collaborating daily with occupational and physical therapists, and social workers
- Documenting progress and communicating with families to support continuity of care
