About the position

Advanced Therapy Solutions, part of the Sevita family, provides in-home and clinic-based therapy services for children and young adults with complex medical, developmental, behavioral, and educational needs. The Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized physical therapy programs to improve physical function, alleviate pain, and prevent dysfunction in pediatric patients. Responsibilities include maintaining detailed documentation, educating parents and caregivers on care strategies, assessing treatment progress, recommending specialized equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, braces), and modifying environments to suit patient needs. The PT will collaborate with other professionals, manage a pediatric caseload, communicate with families, and ensure accurate billing.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, create, and implement individualized physical therapy programs to improve or restore physical function, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction in pediatric patients.
  • Write and maintain thorough documentation, including evaluations, daily notes, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Engage and educate parents and caregivers on best accommodating and caring for their children.
  • Assess the effects of treatment at various stages and adjust interventions to achieve optimal benefits.
  • Assess the patient's environment, including their home or daycare, and determine how to modify it to suit their needs and abilities better.
  • Recommend specialized equipment, such as wheelchairs and braces, and provide proper use instructions.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to effectively address the patient's needs.
  • Maintain a pediatric caseload, communicate clearly with parents and caregivers, and schedule appointments as needed.
  • Complete and accurately record billing that corresponds to the services provided.

Requirements

  • A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
  • An Arizona Physical Therapy license is mandatory.
  • Experience in pediatric settings is preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • A strong passion for working with children and their families is essential.
