About the position
PediaStaff is seeking a full or part-time Pediatric Outpatient Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join their growing clinic in Wasilla, Alaska. The role involves providing speech-language therapy to pediatric clients, with flexible scheduling options available. The clinic operates from 7 am to 7 pm, with peak hours after school. The position offers a supportive environment with training provided to ensure readiness for clinical responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy to pediatric clients in an outpatient setting.
- Manage a caseload of clients, with a minimum of 32 sessions scheduled per week for full-time status.
- Conduct 45-minute therapy sessions and complete necessary paperwork.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure quality care for clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Speech Disorders.
- Current state license (or eligible) if applicable.
- Experience with reading, writing, spelling, phonological awareness, and language processing is a bonus.
