FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Days Position Summary The Audiology Assistant performs audiology tasks under the supervision of a physician or licensed Audiologist. Responsibilities include ordering hearing aids and hearing instruments, processing hearing aid orders and repairs, educating families regarding usage and care of hearing aids/instruments and providing administrative support to the department and staff. The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of the auditory system and auditory rehabilitation and excellent organization, attention to detail, time management, judgment, and communication skills.

Requirements

Two (2) years of experience, preferably with direct pediatric patient contact/interaction
Experience and knowledge of ICD and CPT Codes
Current BLS Certification

Responsibilities

Assists audiologist with hearing evaluations, earmold impressions and hearing aid fittings
Processes hearing aid orders and repairs
Maintains inventory of department and patient supplies
Completes all necessary paperwork
Provides patient education regarding warranties, usage of hearing aid, and care and maintenance of hearing aid
