About the position

The UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management seeks an outstanding Anesthesiologist for Children (AFC) faculty with a strong interest in pursuing an academic career. Fellowship Trained Pediatric Anesthesiologist. Responsibilities include direct patient care in pediatric anesthesiology with teaching and supervision of pediatric anesthesiology fellows, anesthesiology residents, and other trainees. Advance specialty training or experience is preferred. Pediatric Anesthesiology subspecialty certification must be obtained within two (2) years of subspecialty training completion. Pediatric Anesthesiologists hold faculty appointments in the Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center; however, their primary practice is based at Children's Medical Center in Dallas.

Responsibilities

  • Direct patient care in pediatric anesthesiology
  • Teaching and supervision of pediatric anesthesiology fellows, anesthesiology residents, and other trainees

Requirements

  • Fellowship Trained Pediatric Anesthesiologist
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Texas medical license prior to employment
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible with the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)
  • Pediatric Anesthesiology subspecialty certification must be obtained within two (2) years of subspecialty training completion

Nice-to-haves

  • Advance specialty training or experience is preferred
