About The Position

This role involves providing direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Key responsibilities include monitoring patients, managing complex medical devices, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The position requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to respond effectively to changing patient conditions.

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license
• 1–2 years of recent acute care (PCU/ICU) experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency in arrhythmia recognition and high-turnover patient management

Responsibilities

• Interpret telemetry
• Manage vasoactive drips
• Handle complex devices like chest tubes and ventilators
• Utilize clinical judgment to recognize patient deterioration and respond to evolving needs
• Coordinate with physicians and the care team to implement, document, and update patient treatment plans
