About The Position

We’re looking for a PC Systems Analyst based at our Anchorage, AK office supporting Holland America–Princess (HAP). This role involves providing technical support and training for end-users, as well as performing tasks such as adapting procedures and equipment, and documenting operational problems. The role includes troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with computers, software, network connectivity, and peripherals, as well as installing and configuring new hardware and software, including updates and upgrades. It also involves user training to educate individuals on the proper use of technology and applications, providing technical support to answer user questions and assist with technical issues both over the phone and in person. Additionally, it encompasses system maintenance through regular checks on equipment and networks to prevent issues, assisting with data backup procedures and recovery in case of system failures, and implementing and enforcing security protocols to protect data.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in networked environments.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer business applications, with broad-based knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and applications software.
  • Participate in HAP’s safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and resolves user hardware and software problems.
  • Installs PCs, printers, software, and terminals.
  • Maintains inventory of computer hardware and assists with departmental projects as required by departmental supervision.
  • Assisting users with system setup, hardware and software installation, and configuration.
  • Assists with file server back-ups and installs data/voice cabling and connections.
  • Coordinates vendor-provided repairs and maintenance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
