About the position

GSW Manufacturing, Inc., an international manufacturer and technology developer serving the wiring harness industry, seeks a detailed oriented, innovative Production Control & Material Control Coordinator who can see the bigger picture while still focusing on specifics. You will join a talented and collaborative MC/PC Team at our Findlay, Ohio, headquarters. The Production Control & Material Control (PC/MC) Coordinator, working under the PC/MC and Logistic Manager, is responsible for analyzing and coordinating customer requirements through forecasting, managing inventory levels, and overseeing lead times to ensure on-time delivery to both internal and external customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor raw material, WIP (Work-in-Progress), and finished goods inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Implement just-in-time (JIT) or lean inventory strategies to reduce carrying costs while maintaining production flow.
  • Generate material orders, aligning with business needs.
  • Work with purchasing and suppliers to manage lead times, order quantities, and delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve potential supply chain risks.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records to ensure accuracy.
  • Build, strengthen and sustain relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Assist team's roles, responsibilities, and assigned customer(s) as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or other related field.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, production control and material control processes.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • The ability to work and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
  • The ability to draft routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1-2 years' experience in Production Control and/or Material Control.
  • Basic knowledge of TS16949 quality and ISO 14001 environmental system requirements.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment, automotive.
