About the position

The Patient Service Specialist in Urology serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service to enhance patient satisfaction. This role involves navigating complex data systems, managing patient registrations, and scheduling appointments across various clinics in Southern Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, both in person and by phone.
• Navigate multiple complex data systems to research and record patient information.
• Operate multi-line telephone systems, routing calls and responding to general inquiries.
• Register patients and update demographic and insurance information.
• Make patient appointments and monitor appointment schedules daily.

Requirements

• 1 year of customer service experience or successful completion of a Providence internship.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of medical office or healthcare experience.
• Basic experience with electronic medical records and/or computerized billing systems.
• Experience with medical terminology.
• Experience in a rooming position such as CNA, non-credentialed MA, or EMT.
