The Patient Services Representative plays a crucial role in a podiatry practice by providing exceptional service to patients and ensuring efficient operations within the medical office. This full-time position requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and experience in medical administrative support to enhance the patient experience and contribute to the success of the healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Verify and process patient insurance information, ensuring coverage for podiatric services.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and communicate with patients regarding appointment reminders, test results, and treatment follow-ups.
• Work closely with the doctor, medical assistants, and staff at other office locations to ensure smooth coordination of patient care.
• Utilize virtual assistant tools and technology to assist with administrative tasks, scheduling, and other office functions.
• Accurately input patient information into electronic health records (EHR) and maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
• Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner, ensure patient forms are completed, and assist with patient check-in/check-out processes.
• Provide general office support, including managing office supplies, filing, and assisting with patient flow.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a medical office setting is required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication with patients and staff.
• Experience in medical administrative support roles will be advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
