About the position

As a Patient Service Coordinator at MyEyeDr., you will play a crucial role in providing personalized patient experiences by managing the front desk during check-in and check-out. This position is essential for ensuring a seamless and positive experience for patients, and it offers training for those without optical experience. You will collaborate with doctors and team members to deliver high-quality vision care and support administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patients with a personalized check-in/out process that creates a timely and positive experience.
  • Become a subject matter expert in insurance plans to verify and educate patients on their options during check-in/out.
  • Assist in appointment confirmations and patient outreach in partnership with doctor availability.
  • Manage multiple phone lines, greet patients and walk-ins, schedule appointments, and assist with office staff duties as needed.
  • Cross-train to other office support roles such as Eyewear Consultants and Optometric Technicians as needed.
  • Collaborate with doctors and team members to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Requirements

  • Experience in a front desk, reception, or customer-facing role supporting administrative duties and clerical tasks.
  • Organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks under pressure while providing best-in-class service.
  • Flexible and agile mindset with the ability to wear multiple hats.
  • Friendly, caring, and patient-centric attitude, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player willing to collaborate to provide the best patient experience.
  • Computer savvy with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional attitude with problem-solving abilities to respond to patient service requests.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the optical or healthcare industry.
  • Bilingual skills to assist a diverse patient population.
