The position is responsible for analyzing Home Health & Hospice medical records to ensure that supporting billing documentation is in place, certification periods are met, and clinical documentation adheres to industry guidelines and Medicare requirements. The role involves reviewing documentation and applying appropriate codes for billing, obtaining insurance verification and prior authorizations, and monitoring daily billing errors and accounts receivable. Additionally, the position participates in the creation and implementation of standard work for daily, weekly, and monthly document verification and chart audits. The role also includes providing patient scheduling for field clinicians.
