About the position
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the Emergency Care Center plays a crucial role in providing direct patient care and support to ensure a high standard of care in a fast-paced environment. This position involves assisting healthcare professionals in delivering quality care to patients, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care.
- Monitor and record vital signs of patients.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the patient care area.
- Support patients with daily activities and personal care needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care and services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Patient Care Technician program or equivalent experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in an emergency care setting is preferred.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a plus.
